Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data Toyotech MOT Centre collects through this website and when you contact us, why, and what your rights are. Last updated September 2026.
Who we are
Toyotech MOT Centre (Toyotech Hybrid Autos) is a trading name of Toyotech Hybrid Autos Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 16013011. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. Our registered office and workshop address is Unit 3, 80-86 Tavistock Street, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 2PB. You can reach us by phone or WhatsApp — see the numbers at the bottom of this page or on our Contact page.
The personal data we collect
This website is a static, no-login brochure site. We don't run a booking form, a user account system, or a payment system — so almost everything below only happens if you choose to contact us.
When you message or call us
If you message us on WhatsApp or call one of our numbers, we see your phone number, your name if you give it, and whatever you tell us about your vehicle or booking. We use this to reply to you, arrange your MOT or repair, and keep basic records of the work.
Automatically, from visiting this website
- Site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless — it doesn't use any tracking script or device identifier and doesn't build a profile of you. It gives us aggregate figures like page views, not who you are.
- Opening hours. Your browser fetches our current opening hours from a Google Sheet published by us. This is a request from your browser to Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request, the same as loading any web page.
If you click through to another site
The WhatsApp button, the "Get directions"/Waze buttons and our Google reviews link all take you to a different website or app when you click them — WhatsApp/Meta, Google, or Waze. Once you're there, it's covered by their privacy policy, not ours, and it's your choice whether to click through. The map image itself is a picture hosted on this site, not a live map, so it doesn't make a request to anyone when the page loads.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and none of the third-party services it uses (Cloudflare Analytics, the opening-hours sheet, or the map) set cookies on your browser either. If that ever changes — for example if we add a live chat widget or a different analytics tool — we'll update this page and add a cookie banner if one becomes necessary.
Why we're allowed to use it
When you contact us about a booking or repair, we use your details because you've asked us to take a specific action — arranging a service — which is our legitimate interest in running the business and, once you book, is necessary to carry out that job. For the cookieless analytics described above, our legitimate interest is understanding how the website is used, weighed against the minimal, non-identifying nature of that data.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal data. It's only shared where the service itself requires it:
- Meta / WhatsApp — carries the messages if you contact us that way.
- Cloudflare — provides the cookieless analytics beacon.
- Google — hosts the published spreadsheet our opening hours are read from, and the Google Business listing our reviews and "Get directions" button link out to.
- Waze — the Waze button links out to it; nothing is sent to Waze unless you click it.
We don't use any other analytics, advertising or marketing platforms, and we don't share your details with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking messages for as long as we reasonably need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up (such as a warranty query). Records connected to work we've invoiced are kept for as long as UK tax law requires business records to be retained. We don't keep personal data longer than we need it for these purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- See the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Delete your data, where we don't need to keep it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Get a copy in a portable format
To ask us about any of this, contact us using the numbers below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) atico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change what data we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
